Yesterday was my birthday . . . I've never been the biggest fan of them. I don't want to have a party; I don' want you to tell the waiter/waitress at the restaurant; and please don't throw me a surprise party. Yesterday was the perfect day. Went and caught up with some work at the shop, closed early to get my birthday present. I got a tattoo; I'll post a picture a bit later. Had pizza for dinner with my family and just enjoyed the day.
Quotes
The Quality of Love or Fear you Carry into each Moment determines which Road you Travel. ~ Barbara Marciniak
It's important to be heroic, ambitious, productive, efficient, creative, and progressive, but these qualities don't necessarily nurture the soul. The soul has different concerns, of equal value: downtime for reflection, conversation, and reverie; beauty that is captivating and pleasuring; relatedness to the environs and to people; and any animal's rhythm of rest and activity. ~ Thomas Moore
Silence is the great teacher, and to learn its lessons you must pay attention to it. There is no substitute for the creative inspiration, knowledge, and stability that come from knowing how to contact your core of inner silence. The great Sufi poet Rumi wrote, ''Only let the moving waters calm down, and the sun and moon will be reflected on the surface of your being. ~ Deepak Chopra
~ Two quotes in one . . . how awesome is that?
The world is a looking-glass, and gives back to every man the reflection of his own face. Frown at it, and it in turn will look sourly at you; laugh at it, and with it, and it is a jolly, kind companion.~ William Thackeray
I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. ~ Thomas Paine
