I haven't posted in a few days. There are a few reasons for that. I'd list them, but they kind of sound like excuses. If I'd really wanted to get a post published; I would have worked through those excuses and found a way to do it. I believe a couple of the excuses are legitimate; but you know they seem to pale to some of the obstacles that others face and still get on with their days.
I picked healing as a topic because I've been in physical pain for the last few days and am trying to figure out some way to heal that pain. None of these quotes really address that kind of pain. As long as I can get out of my bed in the morning and continue with my day I have something to be grateful for. I am grateful that the pain is not as bad as it was yesterday, or the day before. And while I may hurt, I can still get up and do the things I love and try to be a lamp, a ladder or a lifeboat to help heal someone's soul.
Quotes
Love heals the world one heart at a time. ~ Mr. Prophet
While holding positive thoughts and emotions is advantageous, positive thinking itself is not "Hallmark Card thinking." It's really an ongoing awareness that all truly is well with the world, with life, and with oneself. It's also a commitment not to mindlessly pass on fears but to bring positive energy, images, ideas, and feelings into the lives of others, to help them attune to the wellness at the heart of the world. ~ David Spangler
Be a lamp, a lifeboat, a ladder. Help someone's soul heal. Walk out of your house like a shepherd. ~ Mevlana Rumi
Loving ourselves is the miracle cure we are all looking for. ~ Louise Hay

Tired of Being Tired ~ "We have gotten good at ignoring our body’s signals — much of our lives is training our minds to pretend our bodies aren’t tired, so we can be more productive."
"This is wrong. It ends up in burnout and less production, because we inevitably run out of energy. Listen to your body — your long-term health and sanity depend on it."
Tiny Wisdom: If You Knew This Would Be Your Last Day ~ "Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and then see this day anew. Wipe the slate clean. Take the pressure off. Put a smile on. Today is a new opportunity to be who you want to be and do what you want to do."
Tiny Wisdom: See, Do, Explore, Learn ~ "There are inevitably going to be times when we retreat into ourselves, to regroup, to recharge, or to heal. There’s nothing wrong with that as long as we don’t dwell in that place. The best things in life happen when we consent to participate. The biggest opportunities find us when we’re open to receiving them."

Journey ~ September 1, 2011
Quotes
You get lost because you think there is somewhere to go. If you give up believing in a goal or a destination, then you cannot get lost. In the present moment, there is no destination. ~ Leonard Jacobson
Let go of the idea that the path will lead you to your goal. The truth is that with each step we take, we arrive. Repeat that to yourself every morning: 'I've arrived.' That way you'll find it much easier to stay in touch with each second of your day. ~ Paulo Coelho
And the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and joyful, by which we arrive at the ground at our feet, and learn to be at home. ~ Wendell Berry

Bliss ~ August 24, 2011
Posting a bit late for yesterday. Enjoyed a great meal cooked with love by my wonderful hubby ~ French Dip Sandwiches and mashed potatoes and gravy (one of my favorites) and apple pie for dessert. The we spent the rest of the evening watching movies at our friend's house . . . The Fighter with Marc Wahlberg and Christian Bale and then Star Trek the newest one with Chris Pine. One of the best lines in the movie is from Capt. when he is talking to the young James T. Kirk and says "I dare you to be better."
Hope you all have a day filled with positive energies and may you find something today that leads you to your bliss.
Quotes
On you and me and everything, I bestow my ripe blessings and boisterous bliss... ~ Rob Brezsny
~ Because who doesn't desire a day, a week, a month or a life of bliss.
Live your dreams and you nurture your spirit, nurture your spirit and you dance your bliss, dance your bliss and the world becomes a celebration of authentic loving harmony. ~ Micheal Teal
~When we live our dreams we find bliss. When we nurture our spirit we find bliss. When we are our authentic selves we live in bliss.
If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are -- if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time. ~ Joseph Campbell
~Are you following your bliss? Do you even know what yours is? What makes your soul sing, your heart dance?

When we do these three things, we channel our inner child and let go of the deeply embedded habit of fear—and that’s how we can truly begin to love ourselves, our experiences, and our journey to the fullest."

Anyone who says you can't buy happiness has forgotten about puppies! ~ Wilfred Lampton
When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. ~ Helen Keller
If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. If we really know how to live, what better way to start the day than with a smile? Our smile affirms our awareness and determination to live in peace and joy. The source of a true smile is an awakened mind. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
