Present ~ Oct. 7, 2011

Quotes

. . . all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. ~ Dale Carnegie

You and I are standing this very second at the meeting place of two eternities: the vast past that has endured forever, and the future that is plunging on to the last syllable of recorded time. We can’t possible live in either of those eternities – no, not even for a split second. But, by trying to do so, we can wreck both our bodies and our minds. So let’s be content to live the only time we can possible live: from now until bedtime. ~ Dale Carnegie

Nothing ever happened in the past that can prevent you from being present now; and if the past cannot prevent you from being present now, what power does it have? ~ Eckhart Tolle

Forgiveness ~ August 28, 2011

I made a few changes to the blog (some of you may have noticed). I added an RSS feed button so you can subscribe now through feedburrner. I also added an option so you can subscribe by email if you would prefer that.  I hope that you will take a moment to pick one and subscribe. Thank you.

Forgiveness today. I know how hard this can be.  I come from a family that knows how to hold a grudge . . . and to top it off we're a stubborn group too.

If we are truly to live in the present and maintain positivity we need to let go of these old feelings of hurt. We need to forgive those that have hurt us and to forgive ourselves the pain we have caused others.

Quotes

Forgiveness of others is a gift to yourself. ~ Larry Miller

~Forgiveness frees you up for more positive energies. Instead of spending your energy being hurt or angry. Forgiveness leads you to being in the present moment.

Write the bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble. ~ Arabian proverb

~I have the immense pleasure of living at the beach. You can write your the bad things in the sand and the tide will eventually wash it away. I like the idea of this.

Forgive, you will have happiness.
Forget, you will have satisfaction.
Forgive and forget,
You will have everlasting peace
Within and without.
~ Sri Chinmoy

~What else can I say . . .

Quotes

Be true and sincere and loving in your human relationships. ~ White Eagle

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Enter the day invigorated with the essence of possibility, go through it energized with a sense of purpose and joy and end it with the serenity of completion. ~ Darina Stoyanova
