If you only read one thing from this post please read the blog post from Momentum Gathering ~ Do You Have Grit?.  All I can really say is Wow . . . what a great post!

Quotes Posted

"The best way is not to fight it, just go. Don't be trying all the time to fix things. What you run from only stays with you longer. When you fight something, you only make it stronger."
~ Chuck Palahniuk

From the backstabbing co-worker to the meddling sister-in-law, you are in charge of how you react to the people and events in your life. You can either give negativity power over your life or you can choose happiness instead. Take control and choose to focus on what is important in your life. Those who cannot live fully often become destroyers of life."
~ Anaïs Nin

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together. . . there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart . . . I'll always be with you."
~ A.A. Milne ~ Christopher Robin to Pooh

Do you have Grit? ~ Your inner loveliness does not need to be bullied or demeaned any longer. Hush those voices that tell you it’s too late, that you’re not good, strong, talented, pretty, thin, out-going, young or old enough. Shut them down. Give them the finger. Do whatever you’ve got to do, but don’t let them dominate the air waves any longer. Tell them in no uncertain terms that they are no longer needed. Let grit be your new song!

21 Tips to release self neglect and love yourself in action ~ "You don’t have to be different to be worthy. Your worth is in your true nature, a core of love and inner goodness. You are a beautiful light. You are love. We can bury our magnificence, but it’s impossible to destroy." From Tiny Buddha

"Become like the sun. If you do so, all darkness will be dispelled. No matter w...hat happens, live confidently with the conviction that you, yourself are the 'sun'. Of course, in life there are sunny days and cloudy days. But even on cloudy days, the sun is still the sun. Even when you are suffering, it is vital that you strive to keep the sun shining brightly in your heart." ~ Daisaku Ikeda Via Inspirology

" I'm strong of mind... strong of heart... I'm strong in spirit. There's strength within my soul, strength in my body. I have passion & ambitions. I am driven... determined & I will not go down without a fight because I have fire burning on the inside. There's something that whispers within & tells me...don't give.up! I swear it. I won't give up!" ~ Brianna G Via Positive Inspirational Quotes (PIQ)

I haven't posted here in a while. No matter what anyone tells you writing a blog isn't easy. The thing I struggle with the most is coming up with topics and sticking to it once I've committed.  My mind wanders a lot, jumping from one topic to another kind of like a teenage girl chatting on the phone with her friend, barely taking a breath in between words.

So I'm going to try something new. One of my favorite blogs is Tipnut. The creator of the site searches through her one favorite blog posts, links and other web items and posts lists of great crafty projects. Everything from recipes to gardening tips. It is a great resource for people who love crafts of all kinds and if you are a cook you have to check out some of the recipes.

I wish I could keep track of everything that I post on our FB page; but unfortunately FB doesn't hold onto posts indefinitely. So I'm going to start posting a sort of archive of our posts.  Including blog posts that we've shared, quotes from other pages that we have shared, etc.

I hope that you enjoy.

The Dance ~ Oriah Mountain Dreamer

The Dance

I have sent you my invitation, the note inscribed on the palm of my hand by the fire of living.

Don't jump up and shout, "Yes, this is what I want! Let's do it!"

Just stand up quietly and dance with me.

Show me how you follow your deepest desires, spiraling down into the ache within the ache, and I will show you how I reach inward and open outward to feel the kiss of the Mystery, sweet lips on my own, every day.

Don't tell me you want to hold the whole world in your heart.

Show me how you turn away from making another wrong without abandoning yourself when you are hurt and afraid of being unloved.

Tell me a story of who you are, and see who I am in the stories I am living.

And together we will remember that each of us always has a choice.

Don't tell me how wonderful things will be...someday.

Show me you can risk being completely at peace, truly okay with the way things are right now in this moment, and again in the next and the next and the next.

I have heard enough warrior stories of heroic daring.

Tell me how you crumble when you hit the wall, the place you cannot go beyond by the strength of your own will.

What carries you to the other side of that wall, to the fragile beauty of your own humanness?

And after we have shown each other how we have set and kept the learn, healthy boundaries that help us live side by side with each other, let us risk remembering that we never stop silently loving those we once loved out loud.

Take me to the places on the earth that teach you how to dance, the places where you can risk letting the world break your heart, and I will take you to the places where the earth beneath my feet and the stars overhead make my heart whole again and again.

Show me how you take care of business without letting business determine who you are.

When the children are fed but still the voices within and around us shout that soul's desires have too high a price, let us remind each other that it is never about the money.

Show me how you offer to your people and the world the stories and the songs you want our children's children to remember, and I will show you how I struggle, not to change the world, but to love it.

Sit beside me in long moments of shared solitude, knowing both our absolute aloneness and our undeniable belonging.

Dance with me in the silence and in the sound of small daily words, holding neither against me at the end of the day.

And when the sound of all the declarations of our sincerest intentions have died away on the wind, dance with me in the infinite pause before the next great inhale of the breath that is breathing us all into being, not filling the emptiness from the outside or from within.

Don't say, "Yes!"

Just take my hand and dance with me.
